Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect the little we need to run a Dad Group well. Your check-ins are visible to your group, not to the internet. We do not sell your information and we do not run ads.
What we collect
Your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text); your first and last name, and optionally your city, state and church; the Dad Groups you belong to and your role in each; meetings, challenges and challenge check-ins; and your weekly check-ins, including wins, struggles and prayer requests.
Who can see what
Your check-in content is visible to the active members of the group it was written in. Your name and church are visible to dads in your groups. Church Dads platform administrators can see accounts, groups, churches and memberships in order to support the beta and keep it safe — they cannot see your check-in content, wins, struggles or prayer requests.
How we use it
To create your account, run your groups, send in-app reminders about check-ins, meetings and challenges, send account emails such as confirmation and password reset, and to keep the app secure. That is all.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use your check-ins for advertising. We do not share your information with your church, other churches or anyone else outside your group, except the service providers who host the app for us or when the law requires it.
Service providers
We rely on trusted providers for hosting, database, authentication and email delivery. They process your information only to run Dad Groups on our behalf.
Keeping it safe
Access is enforced in the database itself, not just in the app: every request is checked against your account and your active group memberships. Passwords are checked against known breach lists, and connections are encrypted.
Your choices
You can edit or clear your city, state and church at any time, edit your check-ins, leave a group, or ask us to close your account and remove your profile. When a membership or group ends we keep its history so the remaining dads still have their group's record.
Children
Dad Groups is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. During the controlled beta, reach out to the Church Dads team member who invited you with any privacy question or request.
